I will be at Wondercon this weekend (April 18-20th) in Anaheim, CA!

You can find me at booth # SP106 in the Small Press area in Hall C.

I'll be selling prints (including new 13 x 19 prints!) mini prints, and copies of my new art book! I'll also be taking a few sketch commissions during the con.

The original framed print from my Meltdown Comics show will also be available for sale.

Hope to see some of you there!

OH hey thanks for the shout and +Watch! Allow me to return the act, your work is charming and all sorts of 'toony! I love it!
I want to be like you one day, to work as an illustrator and be so good at what you do.
I feel like I don't have any art to show my skills just becaue I haven't worked on any BG's and so much art I can't draw yet.. do you have any advice for me to get better as an artist, not only to practice? I work on my art at least 7h/day ><

Honestly practice is probably the best advice I can give. Literal pencil mileage is the primary thing that makes the biggest difference. The more you draw, the more you will improve, but it may not be a fast process and it's easy to get impatient when you feel like you're not seeing immediate progress. One thing I recommend is looking at art you did from a year (or more) ago and comparing it to your current art. It's easier to see improvement over long periods of time. A great exercise in this vein is to actually take an old piece (done over a year ago, maybe even a few years) and try redoing it now to see how much you've improved and what you've learned.

But beyond practice: study other artists! I try to spend a little time each day looking at art that inspires me on blogs, here on DA, etc. You can't learn in a vacuum and the more other art you can study, the more it will influence your own work. :)

And lastly, do you have any classes available to you? Those can be very helpful if you're feeling stuck with a particular topic or just want to brush up on the basics. If you don't have local classes, there are also online courses such as or I've taken classes at CGMA before and found them very helpful!
wow! thanks alot.
I do much of what you say, but I have just worked this hard in a year or so.
You're right, I need to look at how much I HAVE improved and not only how much I need improve. Maybe it makes be more calm and not as stressed to get better so quick.

I haven't taken any classes, but maybe that's something to think about later on. Right now I'm out of that leauge of artist that's on those classes. Feels like I'm going to fail.

I am very happy about this anwser and I am going to think more about this for sure!
Thanks for helping a fan. <3

He is my brother, yeah. Thank you for the kind words about my art. :)

As for my politics, I generally prefer to not discuss them publicly/on my gallery, but I don't personally identify with a specific political party. I tend to form opinions on issues on a case-by-case basis.

Haha, thanks. :) I'm pretty content as a freelance artist but always enjoy getting the opportunity to do work for them.

your welcome and ok i understand being a famous artist it would probably be bad for business to get political... btw do you take requests??

I'm afraid I only take paid commissions, although I'm not taking any at the moment. I'm hoping to reopen for them in a little while.
